PeoplesOdds is a prediction-market newsroom. Our reporting explains the event; the crowd predicts the outcome; and PeoplesOdds records whether the crowd was right. We write to help readers understand what is happening and what is at stake — not to tell them what to believe.

We report from approved sources and put primary and official material first: court filings, official statistics, on-the-record statements, and named eyewitnesses ahead of secondary coverage. We link to what we rely on. We do not republish other outlets' work wholesale — we summarise, attribute, and add our own reporting or context.

Every piece is clearly labelled so you know what you are reading:

• News — factual reporting of an event.
• Analysis — informed interpretation grounded in evidence.
• Opinion — an argued point of view from a named author.
• Explainer — background and context on how something works.
• Satire — clearly marked as not literally true.
• Sponsored — paid content, disclosed as such.

Crowd percentages on PeoplesOdds are the aggregated predictions of our users. They are never presented as fact, forecast guarantees, or professional advice. A market showing 70% means our users, collectively, lean that way — not that the outcome is 70% certain to occur.

We correct mistakes openly and preserve the record. Significant corrections are noted on the article, and retracted stories keep a public retraction notice. A running log lives on our corrections page.

AI tools may assist with drafting, research, and summarisation. Nothing publishes without human review. An editor is accountable for every story that carries our name.

Sponsorship and advertising never influence editorial ranking, story selection, or how a market resolves. Commercial relationships are disclosed and kept separate from our reporting and settlement decisions.
